Birthing Classes!

Matt and I are having so much fun with our Birthing Classes once a week. We have to control some of our laughter...Oops.

We are going again tonight and they are going over labor and delivery and showing us "a film"...dun dun dun!!! I'll try to take pictures of anything that is funny :)

I also had a Dr. Appointment today, little Nicky was sleeping hbp was 148. I actually lost 1 pound this month! WOOT! And have gained 20lbs so far at 28weeks! EXCELLENT!

We are doing research on a cord bank, because we will be keeping Nicholas's cord blood. It can help him, or any of his siblings and it can even help my father walk again one day if technology and God allows. You never know what they'll come up with tomorrow!!!!

3D Ultrasound Pics!

Yesterday the place I went to at 17wks for my ultrasound called to see if I could come in for a training session for a new tech. I would get a full 3D ultrasound session and pictures. Now I wasn't promised "the works" since this was just a trainee...but these are the pics that KINDA look like you can see Nicholas.

Just remember that the fluid around him makes it look like you are looking through a glass of water, some features are blurred or stretched.

I had to drink the yucky orange drink!

This morning I had to drink the yucky orange glucose drink and have my blood drawn and tested for gestational diabetes and iron deficiency. Fun times!

The best part was the sonogram though! Normally I wouldn't have gotten a sonogram but they needed a few more shots of the heart that they couldn't get last time because Nicholas was facing the wrong way! LOL!

Janet (sono tech) said everything looks perfect! He is measuring exactly on time and weighs in at an estimated 1lb 7 oz. The big milestone this week is that if God forbid something happened Nicky could survive outside the womb now :) So it's all gaining fat stores and building lung function from here till the end :)

First take a look at this picture

Now look at our "little thinker", Do you see it?

This next three are a profile pictures.

In this one I got to watch him yawn and stretch, Janet got a picture in the middle of the yawn.

These are front face pictures, can you see the chubby cheeks?

And here is just more proof that are boy, is still a boy~!

Proof on the Boy Parts

Hi Mom and Dad! I'm ALL BOY!!!

Precious Profile, look at that button nose! I just can't wait to squeeze him!

The Journey of the Nursery

Well the nursery is now 95% finished. I'm still looking for shades, a rug, and a recliner. But that is no biggie.

Now for anyone that has gone baby shopping in the last 12 months knows the "The Jungle Theme" has taken over every square inch of the store, especially on the little boys side. But I just wasn't feeling it.

I was in Burlington Coat Factory when I saw these two pictures painted on canvas. Two little bunnies, one rubbing his eye and looking at the moon and a sheep looking at a falling star. I knew immediately that, that was my theme! Moons and stars. I quickly found the lamp as well that went with the set. Good news, the two pics and lamp cost a total of 15 bucks, bad news the entire line was discontinued over a YEAR ago...Well crap!

So the hunt continued:

Then I went to LoneStar Baby and found the Moon picture frame and the "I love you to the moon and back" blue wall decoration. THAT WAS IT for that entire store for moons and stars...I was like Grrr!!!

BabiesRUs
had the moons and stars ceiling mobile and the light switch covers along with the night light and that was IT FOR MOONS AND STARS AGAIN!

Then I found the bedding on Amazon and the stars and moon that are on the wall.

The Hey DIddle Diddle Wall Decoration came from BuyBuyBaby.

Then 4 weeks later I was BACK to burlington coat factory looking for baby clothes and I found all the light green baskets in their BATHROOM section that matched the hat of the moon on the picture frame perfectly! So I bought the baskets and the hamper! I also found the blue sheer curtains at burlington that day as well, thank God

Here are the pictures :)

Hehehe! It's a BOY!

Well Matt and I went to the 20 week sonogram anatomy scan together and the most important thing is EVERYTHING is in the right places, everything that should be there is, and everything that shouldn't, isn't!

I am so glad Matt got to come and watch everything on the big LCD flat screen. He even asked some questions about the baby, he is just going to be the best Dad!

When we got to "the goods" it was 100% ALL BOY down there! Big shock for us, but we were so happy that he was healthy and happy (kicking his feet and covering his face with his hands) that I totally couldn't have cared a single ounce that she was now a he!

His name will be Nicholas (Middle name pending, waiting for Matt to decide)

I'm so excited to bring a little Nicky into the world! He is named after my father and my brother who are two of the most amazing men in my life. The reason I married Matt is because of all the similarities between my father/brother and him.

I didn't have much to return, my nursery is gender neutral (pics to come)and I just had about 40 bucks worth of girl clothes to return which I quickly replenished my clothes supply with bouncing baby boy clothes (more pics to come)!

Love you all! Miss you all! And to my baby boy I love you to the moon and back!
