Thanksgiving

Watched the Parade today, God I love the DVR to fast forward through all the commercials.

Today wasn't the same without my family. Just trying to move past it. I miss everyone, but I know we'll be together in the end and that is all that matters.

I had a candy apple with caramel and M&M's today. Only ate half of it, saving the rest for tomorrow. :)

I love all of you, big hugs and kisses!

Brushing my Teeth is Awful!

I really have to remember that I HAVE to eat something before I brush my teeth. I had this urge to brush my teeth this morning as soon as I got out of bed like I ALWAYS DO! So I did...and then puked for 5 mins. It was that awful kind of puking where your throat tightens and you can't breathe after you do it! I hate that! Ok, ok I THINK I've learned my lesson, Eat first!

Nothing to exciting right now. I feel like I have motion sickness all day and I try to eat when I can, what I can. Staying away from Caffeine and all that. I think I'm going to go make a bagel now.

Officially 6w3d's today, one more week till the sonogram :)

Dear Baby #1

Your mommy just wrote 3,000 words and three papers for grad school in under 3 hours.

I'm smart, your fathers smart...So I know you'll be fine!

Dr. Visit #2

My HCG levels on Thursday was 505! WOOT! Right on track!

They took blood today (5weeks, 2days) and will phone me the results tomorrow afternoon to report whether the levels are 2,000 HCG or higher, which is what they should be.

Prayers are welcome!

Both sets of Grandparents now know, as well as 1/2 my work because people just can't keep news of a baby on the way a secret!

I'm ok with you people knowing! I just think of it as more PRAYERS!

Love you all! I'll update tomorrow as soon as I hear the good news from the nurse!

Toast helps!

So I think I've mastered this morning sickness thing...I THINK!

1) LOTS of water, all the time sipping water to keep hydrated.

2) Eating whenever I can that is HEALTHY and a WHOLE food. Specifically TOAST! God Bless TOAST! Toast with peanutbutter, Toast Dry, Toast with grape jelly, Toast with strawberry jam! Toast! Toast! Toast!

3) I'm also eating RIGHT when I wake up, and RIGHT before I go to sleep. Trying to fill in the void of not eating for 6-8hrs.

4) I'm also trying to destress and keep from worrying! (Yeah....right...)

~~~~~~~~~~~
Talked to mom alot today. I'm glad she is happy about the baby :) We even were talking about names! How exciting! Each day that goes by I pray for a happy and healthy 9 months!
Morning Sickness...Toast helps
UGH!
Friday: I woke up with a headache at 6am and it didn't go away until 2:30pm. I had to leave work around 12pm because it was just to painful and nauseating. When the window did open up where I could THINK about eating something, all I wanted was my husbands sausage and eggs! He makes me breakfast in bed EVERY weekend morning and it's always sausage, eggs and toast! And boy did it taste good!
My mother also suggested I take a hot shower and let the water run down my neck and it REALLY helped me relax for bed! I love you mom!
Today: I have been focused on keeping hydrated and have never drank so much water in my life. I'm peeing all the time, but my headache hasn't come back and I'm only suffering from mild heartburn and some waves of nausea. I have ate when I could today and the best was my husbands grilled chicken with honey mustard sauce!
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory was on earlier and I did break down and eat ONE reeses peanut butter cup! It didn't really taste all that great :(
Well that is all for now. I'm going to go lay down with my heating pad :)
A full loaf
I've started this blog at the suggestion of my mother (The Queen). The events leading to this blog are as follows:
Wed, November 11th 2009 at 7pm I took a clear blue easy pregnancy test. I was 5 days late and had a Copper IUD in place (Paragaurd). Any other pregnancy test I've ever taken because I'm paranoid have always turned out negative and I get my period THAT day and I've wasted 13 bucks. One Wed. this was not the case. That damn test turned positive within 2 seconds of my pee soaking in to the test strip! Like another other technology crazed person of the year 2009 I grabbed my cell phone and took shaky pictures of the positive test.
A night of panic attack ridden sleep commenced.
Thursday Nov. 12th 11am. My husband and I are at the Dr. office waiting to be seen. Finally after an hour and a half, two bathroom breaks and five smoke breaks (for him, not me) the sonogram tech called us in.
The sonogram revealed that the IUD was sticking OUT of my cervix. Are you getting the picture? Good. Because I was only 4 weeks pregnant the tech could not locate the baby and verify that it was in my uterus and NOT in one of my tubes. I cried.
Then we went in to see the Dr. She pulled the IUD out and guess what! It didn't fold up like it was suppose to and hurt like a bitch. However, there was NO bleeding at all! I was so happy that the removal did not cause a miscarriage.
The Dr. also told me that because the IUD was so far down in the uterus that there is a VERY VERY good chance the baby is NOT in the tube and is in the upper/mid section of the uterus.
The drew blood to check HCG levels and I have to go back Monday for more blood work to confirm the pregnancy is progressing normally. We have to keepan eye out for cramping and bleeding and if this occures I MUST go to the hospitial ASAP.
So there you have it! We are still anxiously waiting to make sure the baby is in a safe place. Prayers are welcome!
